Project Benefits

The Scituate turbine was designed to produce 4,295,200 kWh of electricity annually.  This is equivalent to displacing over 6.5 million pounds of carbon dioxide, over 330 thousand gallons of oil, or providing electricity for 403 homes each year.  As of the end of 2016, the project has produced over $2.8 MM in economic benefits for the Town of Scituate.
